Fund Accountant

Fund Accountant (1-3 years experience) / Senior Fund Accountant (3+ years experience)

Hybrid (West Orange, NJ, Wilmington, DE, or Austin, TX)

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Some of the things you will be doing:

Join our dynamic US Fund Solutions group as a Fund Accountant or Senior Fund Accountant! In this role, you'll play a key role supporting our private equity clients by delivering exceptional service and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You'll work closely with a team of professionals to manage various client deliverables, including:

• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and maintain financial statements and supporting schedules for private equity funds, adhering to both GAAP and other accounting standards.

• Capital Management: Calculate capital calls and distributions, prepare and distribute associated letters, and ensure timely completion.

• NAV Calculations: Accurately calculate and report Net Asset Values (NAV) for client funds.

• Investor & Compliance Reporting: Compile and submit investor and compliance reports following all regulatory requirements.

• Client Interaction: Build strong relationships with clients and maintain daily communication to address their needs and inquiries.

• Data Management: Develop and maintain a matrix reporting structure to effectively track and manage client services.

• Internal Operations: Ensure efficient internal operations by completing status reports, maintaining accurate time tracking, and contributing to other team initiatives.

What technical skills, qualifications, and experience do you need?

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.

• 1-3 years of experience as a Fund Accountant (Fund Accountant) or 3+ years (Senior Fund Accountant) with a strong understanding of private equity or hedge fund accounting principles.

• Working knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in functions like VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF/THEN, XIRR, SUBTOTAL, ROUND, and named ranges.

• Experience with Investran software a plus.

• Ability to multi-task effectively and manage deadlines with precision.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues professionally.

• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
