Overview: CDT is currently seeking an experienced Functional Test Engineer for a government customer in Tampa, FL; to conduct Tactical Operations Engineering & Verification. The functional test engineer verifies functionality baselines & validates successful integration of information security controls and remediations. The functional test engineer ensures all sensor systems processing throughout the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process fulfills the designed functional requirement and adheres to necessary IA security compliance requirements necessary to gain and maintain ATO. ClearanceCandidates are required to be U.S. Citizens with a Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. Candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.Responsibilities:
  • Work with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret functional tests for products, systems, components, or modifications.
  • Plan, coordinate, support functional testing of hardened equipment.
  • Develop functional testing plans.
  • Identify functional problems and suggest resolutions.
  • Generate testing artifacts and provide functional test reports with inputs and recommendations.
  • Evaluate vendor technology and advise customer of concerns.
  • Support customer Developmental and Operational Testing events.
  • Assist in the review and analysis of verification methods and results.
  • Assist in the development and update of verification processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or Information Technology or related technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
  • Three years of experience performing functional testing on sensors and systems
  • Three years of experience in full regression testing and experience with troubleshooting, quantifying, and documenting bugs.
  • Knowledgeable of systems engineering processes for the development of test requirements and assessment/verification requirements.
  • Possess a strong quantitative analysis and decision-making skills with an eye for detail.
Desired Experience:
  • Experience in System Engineering and/or Red Team review of hardware / software solutions and requirements evaluation.
  • Fundamental experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience with network traffic analysis/review (PCAP analysis)
  • Certification in penetration testing, reverse engineering, digital forensics or cybersecurity in general.  ie OSCP, CEH, GREM, CFCE, EnCE, GCFE, or CISSP.
