: Participate in the Waterfall team activities
: Collaborating with the Test Lead in reviewing business requirement document(s) and Functional Specifications and / or Use Cases for the assigned as input into the creation of testing materials
: Utilize the Hewlett Packard testing tool suite for test case creation, execution (manual and automated), reporting, and defect logging.
: Conduct test case peer reviews to ensure test cases accurately capture functionality identified in user acceptance criteria
: Create test data using existing Enrollment and Claims applications
: Work directly with members (Requirement Analysts, Developers, and Project Manager) of the project to deliver a quality product to the customer
: Maintain traceability between the base-lined business requirements, functional specs / use cases and test scenarios/cases.
: Assist test lead with coordination between developers and business analyst to ensure testing incidents when needed.
: Provide customer support to the external User Acceptance test teams
: Create manual and automated scripts for regression testing, as needed.
: Execute test scripts using Quick Test Pro (QTP)
: Provide status to the Test Manager and various workgroups
: Must demonstrate solid knowledge of Health Care Claims processing with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Claims processing in the Healthcare industry.
: Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience with HIPAA EDI transactions.
: Must have testing experience within the Waterfall methodology.
: Must have an understanding of the testing and development life cycle methodologies.
: Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in performing Web-service testing using SOAPUI or other equivalent tools.
: Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience using HP Quality Center/ALM or an equivalent tool.
: Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in manual and automated testing using HP Quick Test Pro.
: Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
: It will be a plus if they have knowledge of Enrollment processing as well as if they processed FEP claims.

VIEW JOBS 12/13/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-13T00:00 NewGen is seeking a <strong>Functional Analyst</strong> for a long-term role in Washington, DC (metro accessible) supporting a Federal Government customer.<br /> <br /> In this role you will attend client meetings and produce agendas and meeting minutes, submitting weekly slides, tasks, reports, updating SharePoint etc.  This role requires proficient technical writing skills to contribute to annual written summary reports, the decomposition of system requirements, and additional client deliverables.  Assist the PM with the creation and tracking of Program Change Requests (PCRs) through the approved process. Contribute to annual written summary reports, and decomposition of system requirements. FA will be expected to be quick and proactive learners who are able to adapt and contribute in a variety of areas, utilizing quantitative, technical, and communications skills.<br />  <br /> <strong>Required Skills:</strong><br /> 1. <em>Communication Skills</em>:  Excellent oral and written communication skills in a client facing environment. The expectation is for the consultant to prepare deliverables, assist with PMO support, be responsive in both email and telephone format, and lead/facilitate client meetings and present to a variety of external stakeholders. FA should be able to present themselves in a professional manner with confidence, articulate their ideas and encourage conversation among stakeholders to accomplish the desired outcome of the meeting.  <br />  <br /> 2. <em>Analytical & Critical Thinking Skills</em>: Independently conduct research, read legislation and other policy documents, read technical/business articles and white papers, create spreadsheets, use databases, and create Visio diagrams, in support of gaining a subject matter expertise with the program. FAs are expected to be proactive and flexible in reading, learning, and applying their experience in order to assist the Pivot Program in progressing through the Acquisition Lifecycle Framework (ALF)/ Sstem Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) process, lead the development of detailed training and education plans, preparation of written reports, and any other tasks that may arise.<br />  <br /> 3. <em>Quantitative Financial Analysis/Government IT Spend Skills:</em> FA will be closely involved with maintaining financial investment information for Capital Planning purposes using INVEST and should have a desire to learn about Federal government IT spend. This work stream is responsible for reporting IT spend for OMB Annual Reporting for Financial Investments that will be presented to Congress. Desire to learn, problem solve, and communicate issues to the client related to INVEST are critical. Experience – min 1 yr, 2 ­ 4 yrs preferred.<br />  <br /> 4. <em>Customer Interaction/ Time Management Skills: </em>Interaction with the customer on a regular basis. FAs will be assigned to multiple work streams at a time and must be able to manage their time effectively to meet various milestones and deadlines for each work stream in addition to participating in all weekly client meetings.<br />  <br /> 5. <em>Requirements Skills:    </em> Contribute to the monitoring and maintaining of historical requirements, assisting with Requirements Change Control Board (RCCB) meetings, and decomposition of requirements.
