The Sweere Clinic, located in Bloomington, MN, is a holistic healthcare clinic that focuses on treating and healing complex conditions. Our team of providers specialize in complex and chronic pain cases and work closely with patients to build a treatment plan that will alleviate their pain. The providers recognize that each condition is unique and make it their mission to find solutions for difficult-to-treat conditions. The Sweere Clinic is a cash-based practice which also accepts workers compensation and personal injury patients. The clinic is non-par for Medicare and third party payers, however the clinic services these patients as out of network. Position Information:

The Functional Medicine provider delivers evidence informed patient centered care to patients in the Sweere Clinic at Northwestern Health Sciences University and is willing to contribute to accomplishing the clinic mission of being a center of excellence for patient care and student education. This is an Independent Contractor Position or optional Lease arrangement. The Sweere Clinic is a cash-based practice which also accepts workers compensation and personal injury patients. The clinic is non-par for Medicare and Third Party Payers, however the clinic services these patients as out of network. Administrative support is offered (EHR use, scheduling, and billing services are included with the independent contractor position).

Independent Contractor Requirements:

The practitioner must have a minimum of 3-5 years of patient care experience in an existing practice, in addition:

  • Operates as a cash based practice for independent contractors

  • Insurance & Medicare can be accepted in a leased space arrangement

  • Non-participating Medicare provider

  • Willing to collaborate with other providers within the clinic and the University

  • Maintains appropriate licensure and is in good standing

  • Gives NWHSU permission to do a background check

  • Operates in compliance with regulatory guidelines and University system capabilities

  • Recognizes that University Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other operational systems will be used for the clinic operations

  • Willing to comply with applicable University and clinic policies and procedures

  • Willing to allow intern observations

  • Acknowledges that any physical plant or University funded materials or supplies will be mutually agreed upon

  • All specialties welcome, including women's health conditions, memory disorders, and regenerative medicine

  • Participate in relationship building activities when available

  • Attend meetings when available (team meetings and individual provider group meetings)

  • Participate in public speaking, community event activities, and/or publish articles in conjunction with the University when available

  • Attend clinic staff in-services i.e.: coding and documentation; CPR; blood-borne pathogen, when appropriate
