Summary

King County's Facilities Management Division has an exciting opportunity to join the Capital Projects Section (CPS) as a Functional Analyst III! This position will work closely with the Capital Projects team to administer their project management software and identify strategies to standardize and optimize business processes that are critical to managing complex, expensive, and important capital projects.

The Capital Projects team is comprised of capital project managers and support staff. The CPS manages the development, design and implementation of a wide variety of complex capital improvement projects and an extensive major maintenance program.

Job Duties

  • Perform Unifier systems administration for Capital Improvement Program (CIP) team. Resolve system problems, administer security, perform audits, ensure data integrity, maintain current modules, tables, queries, and reports; analyze and test proposed system changes prior to implementation; customize applications by adding or modify fields and panels for modules or systems.

  • Define and document customer business functions and processes; conduct workflow, data conversion, develop and make recommendations for systems changes. Communicate with stakeholders on system processes, applications, and modifications.

  • Prepare and give user training. Develop and update training materials and guidelines on system changes, enhancements, or updates; provide training and updates to customers on system changes and process improvements.

  • Adopt, track, report key performance indicators for CIP Team. Maintain CIP reporting dashboard in Microsoft Power Bl. Develop additional queries, reports, data models, based on customer's business needs.

  • Maintain system integrity, communicate effectively with CIP customers, and establish change management processes in support of effective use of system. Evaluate established methods and procedures and prepare recommendations for changes.

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

Required experience

  • Demonstrated experience performing systems administration of complex software systems with multiple workflows and a variety of customers.

  • Experience with defining and documenting customer business functions and processes, developing workflows, managing data conversions efforts, tracking, recommending, and managing system enhancements.

  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis, reporting, and maintaining data models and other data management tools.

  • Skilled at planning, facilitation and communication with multiple stakeholders, training, change management, and basic project management.

  • Skilled in analytical thinking, problem solving, resolving conflicts, and bringing others to consensus.

  • Experience with common workflow tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Power Point, Visio, Word, Power Bl.

  • Experience with measuring, reporting, and communicating out key customer performance metrics.

  • Skilled in working with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds and working cooperatively with other staff/ customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience administering Oracle project management systems.

  • Experience working with capital improvement programs.

  • Experience with SQL reporting and database management.

Supplemental Information

  • Work Location: This is predominantly a remote position, with onsite work requirements as informed by business needs. This position reports onsite on the first day of employment for orientation. Onsite requirements are subject to change based on business needs. Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to meet workplace reporting requirements.

  • Work Hours: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week.

  • FLSA Status: This position is exempt from the overtime provision of the Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) and is not overtime eligible.

  • Union Representation: This position is not represented by a union.

  • This position is Non-Mission Critical, which means that you perform functions which can be delayed in the event of an emergency.
