What You Will Do:
Provides quality fumigation services for local clients, including but not limited to import and export commodities, shipping containers, vessels, and structural fumigations
Assisting with the complete fumigation process, including but not limited to sealing, tarping, introduction of fumigant, conducting readings, and aerating/de-gassing
Use hand-held gas monitoring equipment to conduct readings
Read, understand, and follows labels and SDS forms for hazardous chemicals used during services provided
Assist with commercial pest control as needed
Maintain working order and cleanliness of assigned company vehicle
Effectively communicate with clients as needed
Inspect, maintain, and utilize Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) properly
Follow proper safety guidelines, including but not limited to specified Target Solutions training, OSHA mandated guidelines, and all client specified guidelines
Preserve positive company image during all aspects of company-related activity
Non-Essential Job Functions
Continually improve knowledge base of the fumigation, pest control and food processing industry
Assist Division and Regional Managers with scheduling and carrying out account service
Assist Division and Regional Managers with monitoring, identifying, and purchasing equipment and chemical needs
Collaborate with Division and Regional Managers on timely work order transmittals
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The ability to successfully obtain specified region's pest control and/or fumigation certifications and licenses (HAZMAT DOT license, state fumigation and pest control licenses and applicable states OHSA ten-hour course)
Successfully complete required internal training, such as Target Solutions
Successfully complete Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety training, specified by accounts
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, Material Safety Data Sheets, and product labels.
Must be able to frequently stand and walk, bend and kneel, reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle or feel, talk and hear.
Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to be exposed to potentially hazardous chemicals, fumes and airborne particles, work in high precarious places, work near moving mechanical parts, work in extreme cold and heat. There is rarely the risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is loud.
Ability to wear a respirator.
