Entry level Health Information Management position. This Associate reviews release of information requests for validity and logs all medical record requests into the Epic ROI Database according to policy and procedure received via mail, Email, portals, and facsimile

  • Essential Functions:

  • Responds to all customer phone calls for patient medical record request inquiries.

  • Responds to walk-in requests requesting ROI information.

  • Responds to all My Nemours patient requests for records Assist other hospitals or physician's offices with medical information in emergency situations via the telephone and fax.

  • Responds to requests from hospital and physician billing according to procedure.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of State and Federal regulations, and fee structures.

  • eports to the ROI Supervisor, and Assistant Director of HIM, cases that could lead to possible litigation.

Additional Requirements:

High School Diploma

Associate's Degree; preferred

Associate's Degree; RHIA/RHIT preferred
