FULL-TIME BOOKKEEPER II: Haverhill Campus; Administration and Finance, 37.5 hours/week, 5 days/week; AFSCME Unit Position
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible, anticipated by January 1, 2019
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Bookkeeper II position will work within the Finance and Administration department and report to the Controller/Director of Budgets. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for full cycle accounts payable for the college. This requires processing a large volume of invoices and employee reimbursements.
Must ensure accuracy and completeness of all supporting documents, including verifying correct coding and approval.
Process accounts payable checks as well as student refund checks on a weekly basis.
Will assist in year-end audit as well as other state reporting.
Work with purchasing director to ensure the purchasing policies and procedures are followed and PO's obtained as appropriate.
Responsible for non-student a/r, billing and collection.
Responsible for a variety of account reconciliations as assigned.
Provide clerical support and will have other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of Banner preferred.
Previous experience with a state agency or higher education would be a plus.
Previous experience working in accounts payable and general accounting.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Above average Microsoft Office Skills.
SALARY: $699.73 - $944.24 per week ($36,385.96 - $49,100.48 annually) with complete benefits package. Actual starting salary will be consistent with the terms of the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement.
