Job Description: Duties and

Responsibilities:

Verifying Officials (VOs) accomplish a range of tasks under principal directives including Air Force Instruction (AFI) 36-3026, Army Regulation 600-8-14, and RAPIDS 7. 8 User Guide. VOs validate dependency by verifying sponsor eligibility, accomplishing DEERS enrollment and updates, and reconciling DEERS error conditions.

VOs prepare and issue identification documents using RAPIDS workstations, including new ID cards and missing and unserviceable card replacements. Daily, VOs will register, process, and maintain DEERS and RAPIDS information. Customer satisfaction and processing will always be a top priority, VOs will assist customers; provide advice on eligibility requirements, and process applications to determine eligibility 100% of the time.

VOs will add and remove personnel in DEERS, in accordance with the proper established policies/procedures. VOs shall reconcile DEERS inquiries based on information presented. Updates to DEERS/RAPIDS records will take place within one hour of approval and VOs will respond to inquiries no later than one business day following the inquiry.

Follow-up and resolution to discrepancies will occur no later than two business days following notification. All personnel performing CAC operator or VO responsibilities will be DMDC Web-Based Training (WBT) certified and will never operate the system without certification provided by DMDC.

Site POC for RAPIDS-related matters

Managing security of RAPIDS workstations under assigned purview ensuring they are operated and maintained under security procedures

Ensuring maximum protection against compromise and theft of sensitive information and prevent the misuse or misappropriation of RAPIDS

Implementing training and awareness for RAPIDS security, and incorporating this training into the overall unit security and RAPIDS training programs

Ensuring unit's contingency plans incorporate RAPIDS requirements

Reporting incidents to the Identification Card Administration Project Management Office with immediate reporting of: any attempt to gain unauthorized access to sensitive defense information, any system failure, or any suspected defect that could lead to unauthorized disclosure

Maintaining Site Information (i.e. site name, site location address, site phone numbers, and site mailing address)

Performing routine operator maintenance on RAPIDS workstations and printers

Minimum experience:

Must be a US Citizen and possess excellent customer service skills. Personnel must speak, read, and comprehend English to the extent that they can read and understand printed regulations, detailed written orders, operating procedures, training instructions and materials.
