POSITION TITLE: Quality Engineer

LOCATION: Pittsburgh, PA

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly qualified graduate willing to learn and grow in a fast-paced technology organization focusing on providing automation solutions to the engineering team to maintain the Quality of the code delivery. The tester will be involved in understanding the business requirements and functionality of the application to provide the solution and improve the efficiency of the delivery. Must have the passion to code and develop under stressful environments as well as be able to improve the existing system.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comprehensive understanding of SDLC process and methodologies

  • Troubleshoot issues and analyze debug logs

  • Ability to execute and fix scripts in Automation suite on the in-house BDD framework

  • Check-in/Rebase/Create/Review code for any scripts changes in GIT repository.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams onsite and offshore

  • Under general direction, designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code using Java, JavaScript, SQL, and XML for software components

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI implementation

  • Daily scheduled and/or on-demand deployment support

TRAINING OVERVIEW:

  • Teammates will work directly within our Quality Engineering team

  • "On-the-Job" training with assignments guided by an individual Coach & Mentor

  • Classroom learning that includes an overview of core functions within AEO Inc.

  • Roundtables with top executives

  • Self evaluations to understand progress throughout program

  • Placement into an open Engineering role upon completion of the program

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field) OR relevant Certification or equivalent experience)

  • Strong knowledge in developing AI models, machine learning techniques and algorithms

  • Expertise in programming language like JAVA and JavaScripts is a must

  • Knowledge of Spring boot and Microservices

  • Knowledge on any CI/CD tool like Jenkins or Bamboo

  • Hands-on experience on Selenium and any BDD automation framework model like Jbehave or Cucumber.

  • Experience in GIT branching strategy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to be a critical thinker to solve problems

  • Demonstrate collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

  • Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
