Full Time Temporary Nanny In Tega Cay, SC For A 1 Year Old Girl

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Tega Cay, SC, in finding a full-time nanny for their one-year-old daughter for the next 6 months. The nanny would typically be needed Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. On average, 32 hours per week.

The family also has a 4-year-old daughter who is in daycare daily from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (parents will transport her to and from). On rare occasions, she may be at home if sick, or there is a holiday. If she is home and requires care, there would be additional compensation.

The best nanny for this family would be a good communicator, patient, respectful, safety-conscious, and trustworthy. The family is looking for an engaging nanny who understands age-based child development and will provide an educational environment for their child. Each day, the nanny would be responsible for coming in and keeping their daughter on her routine, meeting her daily care needs, and engaging the child in activities that will encourage her individual growth milestones. Activities their child enjoys are being read to, singing songs, playing with STEM toys, going on strolls, doing arts and crafts, playing with toys, participating in educational activities, and playing outdoors in suitable weather. The nanny would be expected to keep their child active and engaged in these activities and other activities that will stimulate their daughter’s growth and development.

Currently, their child is transitioning from two naps to one, learning to self-feed, and using a sippy cup. The family asks that the nanny help encourage their daughter to achieve these milestones and work with her to develop new skills as she grows older. Shoes cannot be worn in their home (the nanny can wear socks), and they ask the nanny to take their shoes off upon arrival. They also ask that their nanny is not distracted by phones or other technology throughout the day while the child is awake.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the child

Household Duties Include (Child is first priority):

• Child’s laundry and changing child’s sheets weekly

• Child’s meal prep (the parents will help with meal prep, so the prep will be minimal), feeding the child solids, and cleaning up after meals

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Sanitizing bottles and child’s dishes

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the child

• Picking up toys and things after the child and nanny throughout the day

• Emptying diaper trash

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be current on vaccinations, including the COVID-19 and annual flu vaccines.

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts by July 15th, 2024, and continues for a 6-month time frame

• Legal pay is offered at $23.00 - $25.00 an hour, negotiable depending on experience
