Job Summary

The College of Education and Human Development at Radford University invites applicants for a full-time temporary faculty position in the Counselor Education program. The position will require teaching and university service. Primary responsibilities are teaching a range of core counseling courses and clinical mental health counseling and school counseling concentration areas; mentoring and supervising students; participating in assessment and program improvement; contributing to department, college, and university service; and participating in professional activities.

The masters-level Counselor Education program (http://www.radford.edu/~edcs-web/ ) is nationally accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Education Related Programs (CACREP) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling.

The successful candidate for this position must: 1) have an earned doctorate or ABD in counselor education from a CACREP-accredited doctoral program; 2) evidence of commitment to diversity, student success, and active learning.

1. Have an earned doctorate in counselor education from a CACREP-accredited doctoral program

2. Licensed Professional Counselor or licensed eligible

3. Experience as a School Counselor or Clinical Mental Health Counselor
