PURPOSE:

BDS is looking for an experienced, passionate, and creative Social Marketing Editor to build strong online communities to support the efforts of Microsoft's World Wide Channel & Device Marketing team. The Social Marketing Editor will be responsible for developing and administering social media content on multiple platforms and delivery methods designed to engage Field Labor reps and Retail Pros and create an interactive relationship between field and corporate. The successful candidate will also be required to collect and review social media data to develop more effective campaigns.

The ideal candidate for this position is resourceful, enthusiastic, and creative. They have a strong pulse on how learners want to be engaged and is constantly bringing new ideas on social delivery. They are problem-solvers who work easily on their own but excel in team environments. Most of all, they're excited to create impactful, creative and engaging content that resonates with Field Labor and Retail Pros.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work side-by-side with the Newsroom to develop social content from larger assets

  • Develop content strategy and mapping. Continually test and evaluate new strategies to evolve and improve engagement

  • Build a Social Playbook that can be utilized across all global teams with annual enhancements

  • Content creation and curation across all platforms including Microsoft's LMS

  • Work with global leads to develop, pilot and launch influencer programs

  • Deliver consumption weekly consumption reports that include, listening, sentiment, engagement and click through.

  • Manage paid media strategy, execution, and reporting. Integrate paid social media into larger business objectives, and evolve our content strategy based on new opportunities

  • Develop new delivery options the optimize engagement

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the entire marketing and communications landscape to support integrated programs

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop social media campaigns that help to achieve corporate marketing goals

  • Develop monthly reports on emerging social media trends that will be submitted to the management and executive teams. Analyze the long-term needs of social media strategy and offer quarterly reports to management and team

  • Monitor the social media accounts and offer constructive interaction with users within 24 hours of their engagement

  • Other duties as assigned by management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism, Communications or another related field preferred

  • 3+ years of previous experience in an advertising or digital marketing agency setting preferred

  • Experience in developing KPI's and strategies, content & creative direction that align with client's goals in paid social media and organic social media

  • Experience in supporting integrated advertising campaigns across multiple departments

  • Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating projects with multiple departments and agency staff members

  • Maintains awareness and understanding of new marketing and communications technologies and techniques

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Excels at researching opportunities and trends within the organic and paid social media landscape
