PDW Performance Driven Workforce is now hiring Full Time Senior Quality Engineers. This Full Time Senior Quality Engineer offers an AM day shift and is based out of Detroit, MI. Senior Quality Engineers will partner with Corporate and Plant quality team members on new programs, ensure launch quality readiness, work with customer Supplier Quality liaisons to understand requirements, conduct audits, and coordinate problem-solving and resolution activities. Responsibilities:
Coordinates control plans, inspection systems, and action plans to achieve expected results
Works with Corporate and Plant APQP team members on program launches
Meet all Gate Review completion dates for Quality deliverables
Ensure launch quality readiness, work with customer Supplier Quality liaisons to understand requirements, and coordinate problem-solving and resolution activities
Ensures the execution of non-conformances, containment, and corrective actions and metrics
Resolves quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, providing resources
Recommends quality policies by identifying problems, studying standards, and evaluating quality outcomes
Promotes interest in quality improvement efforts by publicizing project results
Contributes to quality improvement and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests, and helping others accomplish job results
Travel 35-50% of the time to other facilities
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
Minimum 5-10 years' experience in quality engineering and quality assurance roles, preferably in the same industry or a related field
Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role showcasing the ability to manage and guide a team effectively
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related degree
Experience working in metallurgical industry required
Proficiency in heat treating, plating/coating preferred
Knowledge of AAM SQE tools, policies, and systems
Knowledge of manufacturing process(es)
Understands interpretation and application of global quality standards (ISO-9001 & IATF-19649, and VDA 6.3)
Understands GD&T
