Full-Time Security Officer

Security Officer -- Full-time and/or Part-time

HSS is always looking for the area's best Security Officers to serve our posts at major airports, healthcare, or government facilities. Our Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the facilities they serve, its staff, and its patients and/or its visitors -- and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on property. Our healthcare Security Officers also provide supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment.

Shifts may range from days, swing, midnight, on call or flex, based on our clients' current needs.

Required Qualifications of the Security Officer:

• Completed High School Diploma or GED

• Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

• Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person

• Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications

• Some roles may require special state or local licenses to carry a firearm and/or taser

Desired Qualification of the Security Officer:

• Previous work experience with the public in a service setting

• Previous security, military, correctional or police officer experience is preferred, but not required for most positions.

Compensation is determined by factors like training or experience, work history, geographic location, and travel requirements. The Company complies with all state and local wage and hour laws and the minimum pay range will always be at or above the applicable minimum wage.
