Join our YMCA team as a Full-Time Infant/Toddler/Preschool Teacher in our preschool classroom, where every day is an adventure filled with wonder, growth, and joyful discoveries.

You'll be at the forefront of sparking wonder and nurturing future leaders. Our teachers are the architects of fun, age-appropriate activities that fuel creativity and development while collaborating with parents and caregivers to build a foundation for lifelong learning!

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must have High school diploma or equivalent

• Completed Early Childhood Education Units/Child Development Units:

• 12 units (100, 115, and 2 prog/curr), and 3 units administration or staff relations (150or 155), plus 4 years of teaching experience in a licensed or comparable group childcare program.

• AA degree in ECE or CD and 3 units of administration, plus 2 years of teaching experience.

• Completion of at least six postsecondary semester or equivalent quarter units of the education requirement specified by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, or a Child Development Assistant Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

• Completion of 15 semester or equivalent quarter units at an accredited or approved college or university, and at least four years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare center or comparable group child care program.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience working with children in a licensed or comparable group setting, preferably working with diverse populations.

• Current approved EMSA First Aid; Adult, Infant and Child CPR Certifications (8 hours)

• Nine (9) Hour course in Preventative Health Practices (PHP).

• Current TB, influenza (limited exceptions), pertussis, and measles vaccination and physical exam.
