NovaCare in Hampstead Maryland is seeking an outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant
Full Time OP Ortho LPTA
NovaCare in Hampstead Maryland is expanding and we are seeking a full time licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) for our outpatient orthopedic center. This is a full time 40 hour work week with a nontraditional schedule treating Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8AM until 7PM plus Tuesdays and Fridays treating 730AM - 1230PM. No weekends!
We treat everyone from pediatrics through geriatrics still giving you the diversity you expect in OP ortho. Additional specialties include neuro, sports medicine, amputees, dry needling and fall prevention rehabilitative programs on top of general orthopedics. We are a staple in the Carroll County community. An ideal PTA has solid experience in outpatient orthopedics with a sports medicine emphasis. We can consider independent new graduates excited about treating high functioning athletes and adults of all abilities.
Schedule: MWTh 8AM-7PM, TuFr 730AM-1230PM

Responsibilities
Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.
Qualifications
A valid state license (where applicable), registration or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant upon graduation from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
