A family in Montclair is looking for a full-time, live-out nanny/house manager for their two children, ages 9 years old and 7 years old. The typical schedule would be Monday and Friday from 12 pm to 6 pm and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7 am to 7 pm.

Duties include:

Caring for and maintaining the safety of the children. Creating fun activities for the children. Transporting the children to and from school and activities. Assisting with homework. Assisting with dinner prep. Shopping for groceries. Doing laundry for the family. Organizing and tidying home. Walking the family dog in the afternoon.

Ideal nanny:

The ideal nanny for this home is caring, proactive, honest, reliable, loving, flexible, playful, and has a positive attitude. The caregiver should be a good role model and teach life skills, independence, and responsibility. The nanny must be able to build open and honest relationships and work as a proactive part of the family. The ideal nanny is a professional who also wants to be part of a family and to make a long-term commitment. Reliability is key. An ability to swim and a clean driving record is a plus.

About the children:

These children are sweet, fun, and well-behaved. They love to sing, dance, and play with one another. This 9-year-old is kind and loving. She loves musical theater. Acting and dancing is her favorite thing. After school, she goes to dance, voice, and piano lessons. This 7-year-old is independent, smart, and loving. He likes sports, baking, playing with his friends, and being outside. His activities include basketball, baseball, and wrestling.

About the home:

This family values integrity, respect, loyalty, and love. The parents are organized, neat, respectful, kind, and loving, with a good sense of humor. The children get along with one another. The discipline structure in the home includes speaking directly and sternly, helping children to understand the issue, taking away devices/screens, and separating the children. No yelling or demeaning of the children is acceptable.

The family has a separate housekeeper on Fridays.

Benefits:
