Responsibilities

Department description:

It provides in-home mental health and crisis intervention services to individuals who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis and are unable to secure traditional mental health services in the community.

Though this position is field based and will work with clients who live in Brooklyn, the office location is temporarily located at 148 West 125th Street, NY, NY till June 30, 2019; the office location will then relocate to 1630 East 15th Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Job description:

Provides direct social work services including assessment and treatment planning, supportive counseling and supportive therapy, advocacy and psychoeducation, and linkage to community agencies and services, as required.

Education: Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related degree required.

Experience: Minimum one year of social work experience in a mental health or social service setting required. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
