We are currently seeking a Medical Coordinator to join our Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Services (IDD) division in Pitsburgh, PA.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Responsible to monitor and sometimes facilitate the medical and health care needs of individuals with developmental disabilities in order to promote wellness and normalization.

  • Responsible to provide/promote services that focus primarily on interventions that maximize the psychosocial, physical, cognitive and developmental strengths of the individual

  • Ensure that all health care services received are in compliance with all Federal and State regulations as well as Merakey policies

  • Responsible for communicating changes and concerns relative to health and safety needs of consumers to the Direct Supervisor and the Regional Health Services Coordinator on a timely basis

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must be willing to submit to and pass criminal background check, FBI clearance, and PA child abuse clearance

  • Valid driver's is required

  • Current PA licensure as RN is required

  • One year work experience in medical/surgical or community health nursing preferred

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or MH diagnosis preferred

  • One year of supervisory experience preferred
