10-Month Tenure Track Position
Initial salary placement ranges from $53,955 to $84,493, based upon education and experience. The current faculty salary schedule includes five classes and twenty steps with a maximum annual salary of $113,197.

Representative Duties: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Primary responsibility will be instructing students in foundation Art courses and will include, but not be limited to Drawing, 2-D Design, 3-D Design and History of Art. In addition, part of the teaching load may include Computer Graphics, Graphic Design, Illustration, Printmaking, Painting, Sculpture and or Ceramics.
Instruction may include day, evening, and weekend classes.
Participating in assessment, evaluation, and planning of Student Learning Outcomes and Program Learning Outcomes, Program Review, Curriculum Development.
Implement current theories and methods of teaching including computer assisted instruction.
Collaborate with colleagues in program review and curriculum development, and participate in other departmental functions.
Teach scheduled classes and perform related duties as assigned, including timely compliance with clerical and administrative responsibilities.
Participate in staff development activities.
Serve on area and college-wide committees aas necessary to support and enrich the instructional program.
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understand of the disabilities and the diverse academic, cultural, socio-economic, and ethnic backgrounds of students and colleagues.
Promote the success of a diverse student population through careful preparation of course materials and effective teaching methodologies.
Provide critical feedback on all assignments.
Comply with District policies and procedures in the performance of all duties.
Master's in fine arts, art, or art history OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in humanities OR the equivalent.
(NOTE: ''Master's in fine arts" as used here refers to any master's degree in the subject matter of fine arts, which is defined to include visual studio arts such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, and metal and jewelry art; and also art education and art therapy. It does not refer to the "Master of Fine Arts" (MFA) degree when that degree is based on specialization in performing arts or dance, film, video, photography, creative writing or other nonplastic arts.)
Must have sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Digital Painting and/or Drawing
Experience in teaching courses in graphic design, illustration, digital painting and/or digital drawing.
Lead a exhibit demonstration
Demonstrate an the ability to develop an art program by exhibiting leadership skills in cutting edge technology in instruction.
Experience in teaching classes in art from diverse cultures, such as Latin America, African or Asia.
Experience teaching at Community College.
Leadership skills by incorporating cutting edge technology in traditional art classes.
Demonstrated ability to develop the Art Program.
This would involve exhibiting leadership skills by incorporating cutting edge technologies in traditional art classes as well as developing new courses using such technologies.
