As a Hospice Aide, you will:

  • Perform various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs, to promote the patient's comfort, and a safe environment, in accordance with an established physician plan of care and under the supervision of a registered nurse case manager or other professional as dictated by state.

  • Observe patients and report/document these observations and the services provided.

  • Work with family/caregiver/and interdisciplinary team members to meet the emotional needs of the patient/family/caregiver.

Required Skills


  • Completion of recognized Nurse Assistant certification program

  • Minimum of one-year direct patient care experience in an institutional, hospice or home care setting

  • Skilled in the proper technique for lifting and transferring patients

  • Ability to read, write and follow instructions and document care given

  • Understands Hospice philosophy and needs of terminally ill

  • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices

  • Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene

  • Excellent observation and communication skills

  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary setting

  • Sufficient documentation of having passed a skills test and written/oral test demonstrating those competencies identified in OBRA-87, 42 C.F.R. Sections 484.36 and 484.4. In lieu of such documentation, a newly hired HHA must demonstrate skills and written/oral competency prior to working independently with a patient

JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Certification Manager, the Structural Certification Engineer will be responsible for the research, planning, and execution of the FAA certification process for commercial aircraft seats and seating components. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Performs standard engineering assignments usually representing a significant portion of a larger project. Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and make design decisions. * Represents the Certification and Structures team in design reviews. * Compiles FAA certification documentation for submission to commercial aircraft OEM's and regulatory agencies. * Reviews and approves design changes from a certification perspective. * Supports design optimization tasks (e.g. weight reduction). * Leads test activities such as Dynamic/16g Crash, Static, and Flammability. * Administrates certification efforts. * Performs material selection and material specification correlation. * Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering project. * Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects. * Provides technical leadership to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians. * Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints. * Participates in defining of engineering approaches and in planning/scheduling work. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from a four-year college or university. * Minimum of three (3) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience * Must be able to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and with external clients. * Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Ability to perform classical stress analysis. * Familiarity with strengths of standard aviation materials. * Prior working experience in the aerospace industry, specifically with aircraft interiors. * Prior experience reviewing and approving drawings. * Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare and give presentations. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively with team members and cross functional teams. * Ability to work proficiently in Microsoft Office Suite applications and engineering related software programs.
