Full-Time Family Assistant For A Family Of Four In The Quail Hollow Area

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a Quail Hollow family in South Charlotte in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant. The family, comprising two parents and two girls aged 10 and 12, seeks assistance primarily from Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. The schedule varies but is provided in advance. Given the parents' frequent travels, the Family Assistant must be available for overnight childcare during these periods.

The ideal candidate should be versatile, reliable, responsible, discreet, and capable of seamlessly transitioning between administrative duties for both the family and father’s business, as well as providing childcare when necessary. They should enjoy handling household duties, administrative tasks professionally, caring for children during parental absences, have an affinity for dogs, and be adept at running errands and managing carpooling.

The primary responsibilities include house management tasks and administrative duties for the father’s company, such as scheduling, managing correspondence, event planning, and running errands.

While the mother manages most childcare and household tasks when present, the Family Assistant may be required to transport the children and provide care during parental travels. Overnight childcare is a priority. Additionally, the Family Assistant will assist in managing the family's two vacation properties—one nearby, which may require occasional visits, and another in Florida, managed remotely with infrequent travel. All travel expenses are covered. This is a long-term position, and the family seeks someone who aligns with their values both personally and professionally.

Family Assistant Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Caring for children when parents travel

• Helping with carpooling needs

• Meal prep and providing meals to the children (one child is allergic to Pecans and Walnuts, the other child is allergic to penicillin)

• Running errands and domestic tasks

• Care for family dog in parent’s absence

• Managing two vacation properties

• Answering phones and emails for the father’s company

• Managing the father’s schedule

• Planning events for the family and father’s company

• Representing family and father’s company well

• Managing special projects for the father’s company and family

Pets:

The family has a Bernedoodle. The dog needs to be taken on walks and fed daily.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Family Assistant should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts anywhere between June - August 2024

• Legal pay is offered at $62,400 a year, which equates to $30.00 per hour for 40 hours of work each week. In compliance with the country's domestic payment laws, any hours worked over 40 in one week will be paid at the overtime rate.
