Full-Time Faculty - College Of Leadership And Public Service, School Of Public Policy

The faculty member is responsible for teaching graduate courses in the School of Public Policy's MA in Leadership and Public Service and Master of Public Administration. This is a ten-month position requiring the teaching of 24 credit hours per year, including courses held on weekends and in the evening. Some courses may require travel to alternate campus locations across the state. The faculty member is also responsible for advising and mentoring students in course and career planning, research, and class-related projects. Engage in activities to support the mission and vision of Lipscomb University and the College of Leadership & Public Service. Engage in intellectual pursuits and professional development. Engage in departmental and interdepartmental collaboration to benefit the program, college, university, and students. • Maintain and develop assigned courses in the MA in Leadership and Public Service and Master of Public Administration curriculum and be available to teach in other majors within the College.

• Monitor the academic progress and advising of graduate students in the School of Public Policy

• Teach graduate courses.

• Collaborate with the Executive Director of the School of Public Policy to promote the goals and advancement of the Institute and the College.

• Participate in professional development and research activities in order to remain academically current and remain aware of relevance in the professional community.

• Serve on University or College committees and participate in University activities as needed.

• Perform other duties as needed.

Education:

Masters degree required, Juris Doctorate or Ph. D. preferred
