Position Title Full Time Faculty, CVT FLSA FT/PT Full Time Hours Per Week 37.5 Work Schedule M-F 8- 5pm with possible evenings and weekends Grade F2 Minimum Compensation $73,320 General Responsibilities
The Clinical Faculty collaborates with faculty, college, and agency staff to coordinate the cardiovascular technology (CVT) clinical education with the didactic education. Responsibilities will include evaluation of the clinical effectiveness through a schedule of regular visits to clinical sites, ensuring that student assignments are made to qualified technologist; completing student competency evaluations, being available to assist students in clinical situations, and facilitating communication between clinical site preceptors, students, and program faculty. Works in conjunction with the Clinical Liaison team to assure onboarding of students and health records are updated prior to clinical placement. Acquires clinical sites to meet the demands for student placement. Schedules and coordinates the RCIS study review courses, annually. Conducts and assists with data collection and summary of surveys.

Serve as liaison for communication with clinical agencies
Communicate with preceptors in the clinical setting
Communicate with Program Chair and faculty the status of student learning experiences
Acquires clinical sites to meet the demands for student placement
Maintain student records
Updates, maintains, and creates new student accounts to the clinical management system
Promote health careers at HCC
Distribute, collect and records required accreditation surveys (Graduate, Employer and Resource)
Takes inventory and orders supplies, prior to the start of each semester
Coordinates RCIS study review courses
Updates and distributes CVT Newsletter to Advisory Board Members
Classroom didactic instruction as assigned
Maintain and provide instructional support for clinical courses
Other tasks as assigned
Faculty Work Performed:
Attend and actively participate in meetings
Respond promptly to requests from college administrators and students for information and assistance
Participate in commencement ceremonies and other significant institutional events
Pursue teaching improvement, professional development, and program development activities as described in the faculty handbook
Set class goals and methods of assessing student learning, and communicating same to students effectively
Prepare, order, and update normal classroom materials in accordance with established procedures and deadlines
Maintain accurate attendance and scholastic records and submitting required reports to meet deadlines, including submission of final grades by the published deadline
Select activities to perform yearly from a list published in the faculty handbook, examples of which include academic advising, serving as a mentor or peer partner consultant, and serving on search committees.
Minimum Education Required Associate's degree Minimum Number of Years Experience Required 1 Other Knowledge Required
Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology or health related field and/or relevant work experience
A minimum of one year of relevant work experience
Cardiovascular Professional (RT, RVT, RN, RRT) with cardiac registry (RCIS or RCES) or RCIS/RCES registry eligible. Must seek registry status within one of employment.
Recent clinical experience
Must possess proficient computer skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Orientation to detail for maintenance of records
Ability to multitask and manage time
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Regular attendance is a requirement of this job.
