Job Description:

Start Date: August 1, 2024.

Hours: 8 hours per day/260 days per year. 9:00 am-1:30 pm M-F at Washington 4-5 Center and floater 2:00 pm-5:00 pm for the remainder of the eight-hour workday. The floater position will include a normal 8-hour schedule, some split schedules, night, and weekend schedules.

Split schedules, night, and weekend schedules include Huron Arena, TAC, and Tiger Stadium-Tennis Complex Activities. Activities coverage is shared with other custodians.

Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a valid Driver's License.

Similar work history preferable. Be in good health and physically able to perform duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Washinton 4-5 Center

Performs daily housekeeping tasks of cleaning building and maintaining grounds and equipment, utilizing proper cleaning. 2. Performs duties as assigned by the building principal, buildings/grounds director, and building foreman (lead) custodian. 3.

Inspects building and grounds and corrects or reports any unsafe conditions. 4. Reports acts of vandalism and person(s) responsible too building principal. 5. Presents a neat appearance. 6.

Establishes good rapport with pupils, administrators, staff, and public. 7. Is punctual and follows the building schedule. 8. Attends custodial workshops and demonstrations when requested. 9.

Is knowledgeable about school policies. 10. Assumes other duties as may be assigned.

Floater

Huron Arena, TAC, and Tiger Stadium-Tennis Complex Activities responsibility would include event set up/tear down, event coverage, and restroom/building/grounds cleanliness as related to the event. The custodian will perform duties as assigned by the arena manager and/or the buildings and grounds director.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Other:

Wages: $51,351 - $53,428 base per year depending on experience/qualifications, and full benefit package. Arena duty allowance of $160 per month (Sept-May) in addition to base pay.
