Full-Time Chemistry Lecturer

The Chemistry & Biochemistry Department at Iona University welcomes applicants for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the field of biochemistry. Expertise in the areas of biomaterials or bioanalytical chemistry is a plus.

The Assistant Professor will teach undergraduate biochemistry courses for majors as well as introductory chemistry courses. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate chemistry courses; working within a collaborative instructional team; establishing a productive line of scholarly research involving undergraduate students; fostering diversity in the chemical sciences; service to the academic community.

Minimum required qualifications: A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or related area; at least one year of relevant postdoctoral, academic, or industrial experience; at least two semesters of experience teaching in undergraduate courses.
