Full Time Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse

We are currently hiring a Full-Time Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. As a Cardiac Telemetry RN at NCG Associates, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients with cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment
• Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Assess and document patients' cardiac status, symptoms, and vital signs
• Respond to changes in patients' conditions and notify the appropriate healthcare professionals
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding cardiac health
• Perform diagnostic tests and procedures related to cardiac monitoring
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in cardiac nursing practices through continuing education
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements

• Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
• BSN preferred but we do take ADN with willingness to sign a contract to obtain BSN within 5 years, 1 Year of RN Hospital experience
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Cardiac Telemetry nursing
• Strong knowledge of cardiac nursing principles and practices
• Ability to assess and interpret telemetry readings and cardiac rhythms
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other relevant healthcare software

• Base Hourly Pay/Salary Range: Mid Point Pay: $33-$40
• Shift/Weekend/On-call differentials:
• Evening 1500-2230: $3.50
• Night 2300-0730: $5.00
• Weekend 1500 Friday-0659 Monday: $2.25

• Unit Description: Patient population: ?primarily acute cardiac patients, post invasive cardiac procedures, chest pain, acute illnesses such as (but not limited to) ETOH withdrawal, COVID, sepsis, tikosyn and Sotalol initiation and titration
• Average census and nurse to patient ratio: 3 units totaling 59 beds (we staff for 45 beds) Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5, 1-2 patient care techs on each unit depending on census and acuity
• Beds per unit: 4 north (28 beds), 4 south (cardiac observation unit is 18 beds) and 4 East (13 beds)
• Tech or equipment used on the unit: GE heart monitors, Masimo vital sign machines, Stryker beds
• Required Qualifications: BSN preferred but we do take ADN with willingness to sign a contract to obtain BSN within 5 years, 1 Year of RN Hospital experience
