What we're looking for

The Barista is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of food & beverage items for the outlet. They are also responsible for accepting payment for food and beverages and making proper change for guests and fellow employees. The Associate will also be responsible for providing excellent guest service. They will promptly address guest service needs, complete food/drink orders and requests, clean and stock all areas based on inventory control.

Compensation

  • $13 / hour plus tips. Actual pay will vary based on a candidate's skill, experience, education and/or location.

What you'll do

  • Promptly greet guests in a friendly and professional manner

  • Ensure orders are taken accurately and completely

  • Offer ideas and suggestions to guests when ordering

  • Ensure the packaged products are stocked, maintain cleanliness of all food and beverage areas, assist in preparation of food orders

  • Maintain positive guest, owner and associate relationships

  • Respond courteously to guest inquiries and concerns to ensure guest satisfaction

  • Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Skills you'll need

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend routine instructions and correspondence

  • Ability to solve problems with a minimum of supervision

  • Ability to read, write and understand English.

  • Basic office skills helpful including basic mathematics and proper cash handling procedures

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and a positive attitude towards all guests and staff

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment

  • Must be people oriented and able to work independently or with others as needed

  • Computer literacy

  • Ability to use basic cashier equipment

  • Basic knowledge of inventory and rotation of food and beverage

  • Flexible hours and weekends required

Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects

  • Prolonged standing; able to stand during entire shift.
