Jackson Ear Clinic is an otology/neurotology practice of two physicians, one nurse practitioner, and four audiologists that cover the full spectrum of ear pathology including hearing and vestibular impairments. The Hearing Center of Jackson is a branch of Jackson Ear Clinic dedicated to hearing healthcare.
Job Overview: The Audiologist is responsible for administering and interpreting a variety of diagnostic audiological exams, counseling patients, families, and physicians regarding test results, and reviewing options that best meet the patient's hearing healthcare needs. Performs audiological services in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of hearing disorders for people of all ages. Evaluates, orders, discusses hearing aids and completes hearing aid dispensing. Evaluates, orders, and discusses the need for implantable hearing devices and coordinates patient's care plan.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree, Au.D., or Ph.D.
Ability to obtain and retain MS State Licenses
Ability to interact with patients, despite hearing or speech issues
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of this position including but not limited to; Balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, stretching, lifting, grasping, standing, walking or sitting for extended periods of time
Must have sufficient vision acuity and hearing with the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make discriminations in sound
Must have good communication skills with proper speaking etiquette to patients
