What you will have an opportunity to do:
The Reservation Agents play an integral role in ensuring that each of our customers have exceptional reservation experience on the phone. Reservation Agents are responsible for positive guest interactions while talking with guests in a friendly and efficient manner. They must also be knowledgeable on working with guests on room packages, spa reservations, and dinner reservations. At all times, reservation agents are expected to be attentive to our Guests' needs, making them feel welcomed, comfortable, on the phone.
The Reservation Agent will handle all incoming reservation calls with efficiency and professionalism, be able to make reservations, cancellations and answer questions on rates, hotel facilities, services and special promotions.
Responsible for taking reservations and accurately inputting into the computer system.
Answer inquiries of room rates, outlets and room locations.
Interact with Group Rooms Coordinator on bookings.
Activate "manual system" in the event of system downtime.
Keep up to date with knowledge of phone system.
Handle all guests' special requests in a professional manner.
Post advance deposits and keep accurate records of deposits.
Complete all necessary projects by the assigned times. Complete documents as directed and to specifications.
Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.
Will be cross-trained and assist as needed in PBX and the Front Desk.
Assist with mailings as needed.
Indoor office setting with a desk, file cabinets, computers, telephones and with brightly lit florescent overhead lights. Comfortable ventilation with little circulation of air.

What are we looking for?
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent.
Pleasant speaking voice
Previous reservations and PBX experience.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Excel and data entry experience
Must be able to type accurately (30 words per minute).
CORE COMPETENCIES: Communication, Phone Etiquette, Teamwork, Decision Making, Customer Service/Relations
The right person will be show customer service skills and should thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will also have a friendly, outgoing disposition and previous experience working in reservations.
