Full Time Agriculture Teacher

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the curriculum standards and school objectives.

• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth for all students.

• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.

• Assess student progress regularly through various methods such as quizzes, tests, projects, and observations, and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement instructional strategies, interventions, and enrichment activities.

• Establish and maintain open communication with parents/guardians through conferences, newsletters, and other means to discuss student progress and address concerns.

• Implement classroom management strategies to promote a safe, respectful, and orderly learning environment.

• Integrate technology effectively into instruction to enhance learning and facilitate student engagement.

• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends, research, and best practices.

• Supervise students during non-instructional times such as lunch, recess, and field trips.

• Participate in school-wide events, committees, and initiatives as required.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and behavior.

• Stay informed about and comply with all school policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Serve as a positive role model for students, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

• Foster a love of learning and a growth mindset in students, encouraging them to take risks, persevere through challenges, and pursue their passions.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a bachelor's degree in agriculture from an accredited college/university.

• Effectively communicate across various levels - students, parents, peers, and administrators.
