You will be instrumental in developing ournext generation of home products that will conduct in-depth analysis of homenetworks, device discovery, and performance and security analysis.

Your Day to Day

  • Develop effective, maintainable code in a timely fashion

  • Follow established coding standards and techniques, assists withestablishing standards

  • Develop automated unit and functional test cases to validate defect-freecode

  • Oversee and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to established codingand architectural standards

  • Develop quality code that meets the functional requirements

  • Work with off shore development teams when required

  • Act as a technical resource for junior team members

  • Show a strong attention to development detail, produces high-quality code

  • Act as a technical resource for junior team members

  • Partner with business teams, development, and IT support to drive creationof processes and procedures

  • Maintain expertise in the application and use of systems, tools, andprocesses within the department's scope

  • Maintain expertise in the business processes that drive the applicationswithin the department's scope

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Asurion's applications and systemintegration and be able to understand changes in order to anticipatecross-system or cross-process impacts

  • Coordinate scheduled ad-hoc, and emergency tasks within the department'sscope

  • Ensure the appropriate adherence to Asurion's inter-departmental processesand procedures within the testing team

  • Provide that proper status notifications are relayed to businessstakeholders and Client Relations for internal and external communicationsthrough the approved protocols

  • Effectively communicate the feasibility of requested deliverables andtimelines to the Manager and/or Sr. Manager

  • Utilize design patterns that comply with security, privacy policies andguidelines

  • Work closely with Product and UX team as part of Journey Team, performproduct discovery, user testing, prototyping and designing/implementing finalsolutions

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field required

  • 5 years of software development experience

  • 4 years of development Full Stack experience

  • Specific knowledge/experience in most of the following:

  • Scripting language (e.g. Python, Bash, JavaScript)

  • AWS services including Cognito, RDS, Dynamo DB, Lambda, and SNS. SageMaker aplus

  • Swift or/and Android (Java, Kotlin)

  • RDBMS design and development (data model, triggers, stored procedures)

  • C/C experience a plus

  • Strong OOD / OOP knowledge

  • Self-starter attitude

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience as a technical leader of small teams preferred
