We are currently establishing a number of innovation centers around the globe for the research and development of critical technologies to address our broad range of operations and enable our digital transformation. We are leveraging advancements in AI and machine learning to enhance productivity, reduce risks, protect workers and develop future business opportunities.

Role and Responsibilities:
Perform prototyping/greenfield development in addition to providing leadership and engineering discipline on technology commercialization projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Architect and prototype end to end solutions to aid in every aspect of the construction process

  • Plan, prioritize, and execute development for short and long term software engineering projects

  • Configure and manage deployment processes for various cloud environments

  • Define a shared set of engineering disciplines to maximize team productivity and collaboration

  • Work with other senior engineers and scientists to improve your own performance, and provide feedback

  • Mentor engineers, and develop criteria for their evaluation

  • Assist in recruiting, and the evaluation of new technical hires

  • Collaborate within a cross functional team, adding value on projects outside of specialization area

  • Continuously engage with business stakeholders, and derive product specifications from Q&A sessions

  • Continuously improve your own skills and knowledge, and that of your teams; identify workshops, classes, and other resources that we should build mastery within

  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline with at least 5 years' experience engineering full stack web applications, with full stack software experience in C# or Java desirable.

Master's degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline is a plus

Experience in either Designing, building, and maintaining ETL processes or Designing, building, and maintaining a frontend with a modern JavaScript or Type Script framework or library

Previous experience in agile development or project management is a plus

Mathematical training is a plus

Verifiable experience building and managing the product lifecycle of scalable applications

Must be capable of deriving and writing product specifications while working closely with customers, and prioritizing engineering work according to customer needs

Comfortable approaching and adapting to a broad set of technologies

Adept at working with, and understanding the tradeoffs between various software stacks, and individual technologies both for prototyping and scaling applications

Capable of clear and productive communication within a diverse team

Understanding of Agile methodologies
