ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking a mid-level Full Stack Software Developer to join or Complex Data Analytics and Data Engineering team. The team's core responsibility consists of treasury, counterparty risk and portfolio financing and optimization workflow modules. The ideal candidate will take an active role in contributing to our long-term technical road map and have a deep background in programming highly scalable distributed systems. The candidate will also get the opportunity to work with product management and support team to ensure timely delivery of high quality software solutions spanning multiple technology platforms. Technical decisions are made collaboratively, with considerations given to the latest, most innovative technologies, enabling you to continue growing your skills.

KEY ACOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work on core services using Java, Spring Boot and ReactJS

  • Build out features on our web platform

  • Help push our monolithic architecture to a new, evolved service-oriented architecture

  • Building and testing full services and components

  • Work with product management and support team to gather requirements

  • Create ideas and solutions for anything noticed as an issue or bottleneck

  • Write automated test cases for data integrity and validation

  • Able to support the existing client base and business processes and respond in timely manner to ad hoc support requests

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

SKILLS:

  • Programming skills Java, RESTful services using Spring/Spring Boot, ReactJS

  • Continuous Integration/Deployment tools, preferably Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes

  • Working knowledge of relational databases (preferably Postgres)

  • Strong creativity and problem-solving skills with focus on product quality

  • Ability to multitask, synthesize large amounts of information, and focus on details while keeping the larger picture in perspective

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of working experience in financial markets, particularly prime brokerage or hedge funds
