Full Stack Java Developer / Software Engineer

In this role, you will be able to design, develop, and maintain Java-based micro-services applications on the AWS cloud environment. The successful candidate will provide daily guidance and support to staff, and manage technical operations encompassing build, software installation, upgrades, patching, security, scalability, troubleshooting, and system responsiveness. You will play a key role in building modern, responsive web applications that prioritize user experience and accessibility. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Agile methodologies is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy Java microservices, RESTful web services, and web applications.
• Develop front-end web applications that are responsive, user-friendly, and compliant with Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Ensure a seamless and engaging user experience through intuitive web page interactions
• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
• Ensure the code in pushed to version controller regularly.
• Actively participate in the entire Agile development lifecycle, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Implement a comprehensive change management process, effectively tracking, logging, and categorizing changes to ensure adherence to established standards.
• Provide technical support for tier 2 application issues.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Java based micro-services and web applications.
• Must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years
• Proficiency on Sprint Boot micro-services architecture, spring frameworks, spring security.
• Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in github, git functions and git flow.
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and/or React.
• Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins or other CICD tools.
• Knowledge on AWS Cloud environment, the AWS Console, AWS EC2/Fargate, AWS ECS, RDS, AWS S3.
• Must have experience with Terraform, Docker.
• Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies like SAFe and Scrum.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence tools.
• Ability to log analysis and tier 2 support.
