Full Stack Java Developer

You will work in a dynamic, agile, team environment developing awesome new applications

You will collaborate closely with other developers, front-end designers, stakeholders and internal customers

You will promote great software design and quality

You will innovate new ideas to evolve the project's applications and processes

Required Experience
3-5 years of professional development experience

Object oriented experience Java

Experience building web services using REST API and or Apigee

Experience with modern web frameworks such as Spring Boot / MVC or Node.js

Modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Webpack, Redux or MobX

Preferred Experience

Relational database experience ideally with Oracle

Centralized web access systems such as SiteMinder

Messaging platforms ideally with Kafka

Document management experience such as Docusign, LaserApp and or PDF generated API's

This position requires a foundation of software development knowledge, and the ability to work in an Agile team environment. The candidate should be adaptable and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements. The candidate should be a strong 'utility' type programmer with the ability to switch context quickly and efficiently with project managers, database engineers, technical operations and other platform personnel. This role is part of the Associates Program which is an intensive 12-month curriculum designed for high-achieving students. The program includes pre-orientation events, a week-long orientation program, coaching and mentorship, support and exposure to senior management, and an opportunity to participate in the Innovation Pitch competition. Placement for Associate Program positions is determined through thoughtful conversations throughout the interview process. What you'll do: * Develop code based on reading and understanding business and functional requirements following the Agile process * Produce high-quality code to meet all project deadlines and ensuring the functionality matches the requirements * Analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle; coordinating changes with project team leaders and cross-work team members * Provide technical support to project team members and responding to inquiries regarding errors or questions about programs * Interact with architects, tech leads, other team members and project managers as required to address technical and schedule issues * Suggest and implement process improvements for estimating, development and testing processes Position Requirements What you bring to the table: * Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Science / Information Technology with a Development emphasis or completion of a comparable program * Graduate between December 2018 – June 2019 * A minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred * Prior work experience or internship is a plus, preferably within the financial services industry * Eligibility to work in the United States * We reserve the right to exercise discretion with respect to the candidates who we will sponsor for work visas.
