A Full Stack Front End Software Developer job located in Berkeley, CA is currently available through Belcan. In this role, you will be responsible for the application development and maintenance in order to support R&D large molecule pharmaceutical development.

The task is to create and enhance software in the large molecule pharmaceutical development.

The role has to closely align all activities with the application managers and project managers in this area.

Full Stack Front End Software Developer job duties:

? Individually responsible for software development and support of IT applications & prototypes, used by R&D Pharma.

? Apply knowledge and expertise to validate data integrity and compliance to ensure IT applications are aligned with requirements.

? Apply domain knowledge to received change requests; identify software bug issues and general concerns in order to effectively prioritize work. Incumbent will need to effectively manage priorities, communicate with stakeholders; research scope of work change requests will require, manage change request approval process and triage issues in an effective manner to ensure business disruptions are minimized.

? Leads development by coordinating with IT consultants and application managers for pharma applications and proof of concepts to deliver innovative solutions in an agile environment ensuring aligned with IT strategy.

Qualifications:

? Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience or Master's Degree with 6 Years

? 12+ Years applicable business experience.

? Experience with HTTP, RESTful APIs or JAVA, JSP, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Django, Djongo and Servlets.

? Full stack development

? Experience with open source frameworks such as SPRING, STRUTs, MAVEN and etc.

? Proficient with Linux, databases (preferably MONGO DB), scripting and version control (preferably GitLab)

? Expert in at least one technology area like cloud, etc. and have the proven ability to execute quickly on ideas by building prototypes.

? Experience with different software design patterns and produce simple and understandable code.

? Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment and know the tools of the trade.

? Successfully applied the concept of test-driven development and are used to setup automated testing.

Preferences

? Knowledge about pharmaceutical process development

? Proficiency with C++, R, SAS, or Python and can perform statistical analyses of various complexities.

? Experience in developing inside a cloud environment (e.g. AWS).

Proficiency with Python is required.

Library IT provides technical support for Library including developing, purchasing, and/or supporting all types of hardware platforms and software applications. LIT has primary responsibility for supporting and building UC Berkeley Library's Integrated Library System (ILS), library website(s) (Drupal), and digital projects. The digital projects are research vehicles that are used by library patrons ranging from UCB faculty, students, and staff; other institutions' faculty and graduate students, and the general public. The UC Berkeley Library is a leader in the investigation and implementation of advanced digital library services. Areas of current work include scalable digital library system architectures; efficient methods for creating digital library content; long-term preservation of digital materials; and standards for digital objects, digitization, and archival collection descriptions. LIT supports digital library activities by providing managerial and technical analysis; writing programs to create digital content; writing, enhancing, and maintaining tools to publish, create, and manage digital objects; and training staff for projects that add content to our digital library. Responsibilities As a member of the Applications group in the Library IT unit, the Applications Developer will: * Provide technical expertise to project managers and other Library staff to define application specifications, staffing needs, and timelines * Develop specifications and gather requirements for assignments * Write and modify programs to support a variety of services, documents applications, and processes * Ensure services are secure and up-to-date * Troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test, and production environments * Evaluate third party and open source software and provide their assessment to management. Projects often include working with multiple units within the Library, other departments across the campus, multiple UC campuses, the California Digital Library, and/or external vendors.
