Accountemps is looking for an efficient Full Charge Bookkeeper to take on an exciting job opportunity. Your responsibilities will include the preparation of financial statements; the establishment and preservation of the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the business; and all other general accounting and bookkeeping tasks. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a long term temporary-to-fulltime opportunity in Little Rock, Arkansas. What you get to do every single day

  • Retaining historical records through the accurate filing of documents

  • Assembling the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and income and cash flow statements

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections

  • Handling reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll

  • Ensuring monthly, quarterly and year end close happens accurately and on time

  • Following federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions

  • Overseeing work of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

  • Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules

  • General office managerial tasks


  • Strong organization skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

  • Experienced in accrual and cash basis of accounting

  • Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

  • Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets

  • High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended

  • 8+ years of bookkeeping experience

  • Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate

  • Proficiency with Quickbooks and Peachtree

  • Experience with payroll preferred

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
