SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Duties consist of work generally known and accepted as Laborers work, consisting of but not limited to: cleaning shop areas, fueling locomotive interiors and car bodies. Track 5 and Track 8 locomotive wash, emptying dumpsters, and operating forklifts, stocking locomotives, handling material as required and all other duties as assigned.
Additional duties consist of working with either Large Equipment Operators in moving locomotives in and about Engine House Territory (Back Shop or Running Repair.) Duties include but not limited to: opening/closing shop doors, removal/replacement of Derails and Blue Signals before and after locomotive movements and other duties generally known and accepted as Laborers work. Inspecting and servicing trains in the yards and other duties assigned.
Valid CDL License w/HazMat endorsement required Must have a High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
Incumbent must work safely, wear required safety equipment, and be qualified on the Amtrak Rules (AMT-1) and the safety rules pertaining to transportation employees; also, be able to pass General Code class, required testing, and display proficiency in the other assigned locomotive tasks.
Employee must maintain: "HOURS OF SERVICE" log and comply with all associated Federal Laws.

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
