Role Summary:
Lead Green House Gas (GHG) and Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) compliance strategy implementation and customer facing fuel economy label strategy implementation, by working cross-functionally with teams in US and in Europe. Requires thorough understanding of US GHG/CAFE/Labeling regulations and requires strategic thinking to lead all activities related to strategy implementation.
Role Responsibilities:
Fuel Economy and GHG execution strategy
Responsible for optimization of sub-configurations and testing strategy
Responsible for creating scenarios with sub-configurations have to align with the defined framework of regulatory requirements conditions
Responsible to evaluate feasibility of optimal sub-configuration grouping for test measurements
Lead the regionally specific Green House Gas (GHG) and Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) compliance strategy implementation by working cross-functionally with teams in US and in Europe to optimize regional GHG and CAFE compliance in order to set the corporate portfolio strategy for future compliance.
Utilize various analytical methods in order to conduct GHG and CAFE compliance analysis on scenarios regarding vehicle portfolio, government regulations, and powertrain/technology proposals to positively influence VW group decisions
Lead the design and implement Excel / IT evaluation tools to handle various scenarios related to vehicle Volumes, Footprints, Fleet classifications, Fuel Economy values (Impact of Litmus on customer facing fuel economy values), Off-Cycle credits, ZEV credits, financials for the US portfolio programs
Work closely with the Technical Conformity / Certification teams to achieve alignment between the FE/GHG strategy and implementation
Possess a detailed understanding of regional compliance in order to make solutions and potential roadblocks visible and improve the cost of corporate compliance
Possess a detail understanding of setting strategy and making solutions in order to identify and prevent future roadblocks
Oversee analysis and distillation of key points intended for Senior Leadership Team and directly influence corporate CAFE/GHG compliance strategy
Special Projects - (20%)
Respond to technical inquiries from internal organizations on fuel economy / GHG data
