DESCRIPTION

TheLead Merchandising Associate is responsible for visually presenting the Last Calllook and current trends through merchandising, windows, and in-store displays.This lead is the primary in store associate that assures compliance withvarious marketing and sale directives including signing windows for each sale,and ensuring applicable sale merchandise is appropriately signed. The LeadMerchandising also works to move merchandise as quickly as possible from thedock to the selling floor. He/she works in conjunction with the Store Managerand Assistant Store Managers to place the merchandise on the selling floor suchthat corporate directives and adjacencies are met. The Merchandising Lead alsoacts as a Manager on Duty and assists in leading the store's daily operations.This position reports directly to the Assistant Store Manager, Merchandising.

  • Continually re-merchandise product to create impactful, on-trend statements while following Last Call visual presentation direction

  • Support flawless execution in weekly promotional signing changes and effectively communicate the current sales promotion to associates

  • Perform Manager on Duty responsibilities when scheduled, including overseeing total store operations, responding to customer service issues, prioritizing and delegating associate workload and responding to staffing concerns appropriately

  • Support the onboarding process for new associates and deliver technical training in areas such as point of sale execution, new account acquisition, merchandising standards, vendor knowledge and customer service

  • Objectively assess associate performance and provide feedback to management to address development opportunities

  • Foster a positive work environment by delivering recognition

  • Assistcustomers in a timely, efficient and courteous manner delivering superiorcustomer service. Utilize suggestive selling techniques

  • Fulfill phone and online orders to support the omni-channel customer experience

  • Knowledgeof the sales floor and product. Able toarticulate advantages, benefits and/or fits of various vendors

  • Utilizeavailable tools to foster individual and store sales: clientele books, clientele call campaigns,Sales Associate Email

  • Followpolicies and procedures for markdowns, re-ticketing, sensoring, and inventorycontrol

  • Performother duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Lead Merchandising Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business need, which will include evenings, weekends and holidays.

  • 3 years of retail experience is preferred

  • Musthave excellent communication skills and be multitask oriented

  • Musthave strong organizational and problem solving skills

  • Requiresthe ability to perform general math computations

  • Possessbasic computer skills, ability to use cash register

  • Abilityto operate photographic and video equipment

  • Capableof performing some lifting of up to 25 pounds

This manageris responsible for the selling team, including the recruitment and selection ofselling associates, training, retention, and performance management. This manager strives to achieve the goals ofthe store as well as the Last Call Division. This role will assist theStore Manager in driving sales and positive plan results through superiorcustomer service, events, promotions, and motivation of the staff.
