Position Description: Full-time Criminal Justice instructor, to teach courses in the Criminal Justice Program. Responsible for the teaching and curriculum development of Criminal Justice courses.
Teach courses in Criminal Justice Program
Evaluate student performance in the classroom
Utilize a variety of appropriate teaching strategies to promote students' critical thinking skills and engagement
Actively contribute to departmental development efforts, including, but not limited, to development and assessment of curriculum and student learning outcomes
Develop instructional materials consistent with course objectives and student learning outcomes
Use new technologies and those used in the field in the classroom to facilitate learning
Maintain expertise and currency in area of teaching responsibility
Actively participate as a faculty member in the general College community
Fulfill duties stipulated in the MCCC Collective Bargaining Agreement
Master's degree in Criminal Justice required. or J.D. with experience in criminal practice and Massachusetts Bar license in good standing If a member of any State Bar, must be in good standing
Post-secondary level teaching experience
Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population
Willingness to participate in service learning, learning communities, and distance learning
Experience in curriculum development and learning outcomes assessment.
PhD in Criminal Justice
Community college teaching experience
Salary Range: $46,000.00-$53,000.00. Actual Salary Will Be Commensurate With Education and Experience in Accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Relocation Stipend May Be Available.
