This position is responsible for teaching courses and assessing learning outcomes within the assigned discipline using effective pedagogy. This position is also responsible for assessment, curriculum development, and providing assistance and academic advising to students outside of regularly scheduled class time. Applicant must be able to work collegially in a team environment. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.

Salary placement on the Faculty Salary Schedule is based on education, certifications, and experience.
Cafeteria Plan: In addition to the base compensation, benefits-eligible employees receive an extra $5,640 per year to put toward benefit costs or to be used as additional take-home pay
Sick Leave: 20 hours per semester

Participates in the development, implementation, and assessment of courses and programs, including the assessment of student learning outcomes as prescribed by department and division
Curriculum:
Develops syllabi in accordance with College procedure and course outlines
Develops new or revises existing curricula as needed, which may include College supported Articulation Task Force (ATF) participation
Remains current in the assigned discipline(s)
Maintains discipline/course specific certifications and licensure where appropriate
Institutional Leadership:
Leads collaboration amongst faculty in designated courses to facilitate consistency between sections as overseen by the Program Coordinator
Assists in the evaluation or mentoring of part-time faculty as requested
Participates in the operation and/or shared governance of the college through college committee assignments and department/division meetings
Assists in the building of programs and event planning relevant to their discipline, and recruiting and retaining students in that program
Serves as a professional role model for students and faculty
Champions a collaborative and positive educational environment for all members of the College community
Knowledge of current and effective pedagogical techniques. Ability to teach assigned courses effectively. Knowledge of the subject areas in the assigned discipline(s). Available to teach during various hours of the day or evening, and work at alternate CCC sites. Ability to maintain professional ethics and confidentiality with students and staff. Ability to support and promote the mission, vision, guiding principles, and strategic plan of the College. Ability to work in a culturally diverse and team environment. Ability to integrate subject area with other related curricula. Capacity to be flexible. Ability to teach using online learning management systems. Knowledge of common computer software. Knowledge of the applicable state and federal laws, such as Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Fluency in written and oral communications.
Associate degree (or higher) in CIS, CS, IT, CSE, MIS, ISM, or related degree, relevant certifications to meet Coconino Community College's credentialing requirements (e.g. CompTIA (e.g. A+, Network+, Security+), AWS, Google, CCNA, MCSE), and the equivalent of three years of full-time directly related industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in CIS, CS, IT, CSE, MIS, ISM and industry certification including CompTIA A+, Network +, Security + or other higher level. Experience teaching in a higher education setting. Experience using learning management systems (i.e. Canvas). Recent and relevant industry experience (at least 3 years full-time). Enthusiasm for teaching and learning, and willingness to share excitement with CCC community. Commitment to student success. Experience working with diverse students and colleagues.
