Our 164-bed inpatient services for adolescents through senior adulthood offers comprehensive and individual assessments, psychiatric evaluation and medication stabilization, daily group therapy and personalized aftercare planning. We also offer a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program to ensure the continuum of care for our patients. We are passionate about our work and are looking for individuals who share in this passion. We are currently seeking a Nursing Services Supervisor to join our talented and caring team. Our ideal candidate will possess strong multitasking skills, great communication skills with the ability to engage positively with patients, staff, families, providers, etc., must work well under pressure with several competing priorities and maintain professional at all times. The Nursing Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery of quality nursing care for all patients on all units during their assigned shift. The Nursing Services Supervisor will adjust staffing as necessary for the evening, night and weekend shifts. The Nursing Services Supervisor will oversee all unit activities including, but not limited to, admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, restraint and/or seclusion and relieving for break or meals. The Nursing Services Supervisor manages the Registered Nurses and Mental Health Technicians working on the unit as part of the nursing team. Provides medication for the nursing staff when the Pharmacy is closed. Reports employee performance and/or relations issues to appropriate Nursing Services Manager. The Nursing Services Supervisor will coordinate all medical codes, whether real or mock, and ensure they are carried out appropriately and safely. The schedule for this position will be weekdays 4pm - midnight with a weekend (8am - 8pm) rotation. Job Requirements Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Experience: Requires two (2) years experience as a Registered Nurse. Prefer one (1) year in psychiatric nursing. Knowledge of current nursing procedures, the nursing process, medications and their correct administration. One (1) year of nursing supervision experience required. License/Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina. Skills: Demonstrated leadership, communication, teaching and supervisory skills. Physical Requirements: Climbing, ability to ascent and descent stairs, ramps, using feet, legs, hands and arms. Ability to maintain equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow or slippery surfaces.
