NTT DATA Services currently seeks a FSI - Technology SME to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).

Basic Qualifications:
10+ years in managing programs/projects, including disciplines, best practices, and artifacts, acting as a Technology SME

Skills Required/Desired:

Experience managing a portfolio of existing or new accounts

Experience contributing to the assets of a COP or a Practice

Successful track record in expanding and extending work and/or penetrating new client accounts

Management and leadership of cross-functional/technical teams while working directly with Executive and Business Sponsors towards the overall success of the initiative

A leader and strong communicator with a proven track record of motivating diverse and cross-functional teams to accomplish shared goals and deliver results while achieving a high level of customer satisfaction

Position Summary This position will be responsible for developing an advanced volt/var control application and integration strategy and will be the control component lead subject matter expert for regulator, capacitor, and related voltage control strategy for the Distribution grid and Grid Investment Plan for the Duke Energy Enterprise within the Grid Monitoring, Control, and Intelligence team within Grid Solutions. This position is responsible for managing the evaluations and strategy of new technologies that are within 3 – 5 years of being developed to the level of production deployment and in alignment with the Grid Modernization (GM) Strategic Roadmap. The incumbent will work with both external and internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize what technologies should be evaluated for incorporation into the GM roadmaps and project plans. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following: * Leads technology evaluation and strategy working with key stakeholders including Customer Service, T&D Services, IT, Emerging Technology and GM peers to determine current and future GM technologies that need to be evaluated and the prioritization of evaluation efforts * Accountable for the budget for GM technology evaluations and ensuring evaluations are strategic alignment with the GM Roadmap * Leads and manages the development of hypotheses, scope and funding for proof of concept projects and validates the results for new technologies * Lead capability requirements roadmap development, evaluation, testing, and application strategy, control lifecycle management, for regulator, capacitor, and related voltage and power quality controls for Duke Energy Enterprise. * Lead control strategy for integration of voltage support controls related to circuit segment related impacts from automated and planned switching algorithms (such as Fault Isolation and Service Restoration (FISR)), distributed energy resources (DER/distributed generation/micro grid) hosting, and other control algorithm solutions. * Partner with internal customers and external vendor partners for development of interface requirements to related medium voltage and telecom transport equipment * Develop comprehensive operational technology roadmap for voltage control strategy, partnering with peer internal and external team members * Act as a subject matter expert and enterprise strategy application subject matter expert within the voltage/var control monitor control asset space for Duke Energy * Assist with leading proof of concept and pre-scale equipment evaluations * Partner with internal team members and related external organizations is developing the capability strategy for Duke Energy's distribution grid of the future. * Work with MCI lead engineer for planning and capability determination to frame use cases and applications guides toward application timeline plans Basic/Required Qualifications * Undergraduate technical degree from an accredited College or University and 7 or more years of relevant experience OR 10 or more years of equivalent work-related experience in lieu of degree Desired Qualifications * Understanding of Transmission & Distribution and Customer operations and systems * Understanding of IT and Telecom * Demonstrated strong leadership skills * Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills * Demonstrated project management experience * MBA * Registration as a professional engineer * Knowledge of basic protection and coordination principles for distribution equipment * Understanding of Power Quality (PQ) principles and solutions. * Ability to translate benefits into PQRI metrics such as MAIFI, SAIDI, and CAIDI * Demonstrate understanding of legacy support systems applications such as GIS, MAXIMO, CYME, DMS, YUKON, and MyWorld. * Demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp and understand new technology in a rapidly changing environment. * Understanding of telecommunications interfaces and control protocols such as DNP * Ability to pull together industry SME's both internal to Duke and external to address emergent problems or to develop new capabilities.
