The Front Office Lead Host creates an experience for our hotel guests by offering them a larger than home experience with welcoming, helpful and exceptional service, while maintaining a clean, comfortable and inviting environment.

  • First contact for guest concerns
  • Each hotel to set specific options for service recovery

  • We Care Follow Up

  • Training of new Hosts

  • Conduct pre-shifts as needed to ensure clear communication of the day's events to all other Front Office staff

  • Assist with group reservation preparations such as pre-assignments and pre-keys

  • Communicate with Housekeeping leadership and manage/monitor hotel and room type inventory

  • Aid in maintaining cleanliness, stocking and overall appearance of front office areas

  • Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of management

  • Inventory control of front office supplies

  • Guest satisfaction and recovery

  • Monitoring Expedia/Booking.Com Extranets for guest billing/questions

  • Monitoring Airline blocks - reservations/blocking

  • Monitoring both Front Desk Shared Mailboxes and actioning on inquires/guest requests

  • Processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquires

  • Monitoring of Credit Card Authorization Platform- updating guest CCA forms includes setting up guestroom routing/payment/billing

  • Other leadership tasks as defined by department management

  • Open availability to learn night audit host role and assist when applicable
