Healogics is hiring for a Front Office Coordinator/Administrative Assistant for Diversified Clinical Services in Stephenville, Texas

Job Summary:

The Front Office Coordinator manages a variety of front office functions and is key to smooth operation of a dynamic outpatient wound care center as well as performs general office duties to assist the staff of the WCC.

All Healogics employees should perform their job responsibilities according to Healogics clinical and employee policies, and Hospital policies, as well as to accrediting organizations, federal and state regulation, and to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, as applicable.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Coordinates with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census.
Actively participates in staff meetings to support key functions within the Center.
Greets patients and other visitors, answers and routes calls to appropriate staff.
Maintains all patient communication needs including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders. Also works and schedules for provider, according to the care continuum model.
Obtains and verifies patient insurance information, to include pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for services and enters data in appropriate databases.
Collects and enters patient charges in databases.
Verifies and reconciles charges as directed, prepares monthly patient survey data and appropriate documentation, then transmits to providers.
Assembles new patient charts, maintains and files existing patient charts, and spot checks charts for data completeness and signatures.
Coordinates/schedules ancillary testing with other hospital departments.
Arranges for patient transportation as needed.
Maintains office equipment and supplies as needed, and medical supplies as directed.
Performs other duties as required.

Required Education, Experience and Credentials:

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
Two or more years office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting
Prior medical coding experience preferred
Associates degree preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Good customer, interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing
Organization and time-management skills
Ability to type 60 words per minute (wpm)
Basic math skills
Attention to details
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work in fast paced environment and to work on multiple projects at the same time
Ability to work with others and in a team environment

Salary range for this position is: $26.50/hr. - $50.82 Work Schedule: * Part Time Variable: shifts could vary, rotating weekends and holidays required. * The Emergency Department at Texas Health Stephenville, is a newly established unit and has a level 3 chest pain accreditation. * 12 bed unit * 1 to 4 ratios * recently introduced mid-levels * on-site physician * Tele- Sane nursing * volume of patients seen is 17,500 annually Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: * Associate's degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) is required * Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred – RN's hired after January 2017 require BSN within 2 years of start date. * One (1) year experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of an RN Residency program required. (2) Years preferred * RN – Registered Nurse licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required * BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support through the American Heart Association upon hire • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support 6 months req.
