Job Description

what you will accomplish

As a Bell/Valet at Ko'a Kea Hotel and Resort, you work closely with the Front Desk team to help guests get to their rooms smoothly and deliver their luggage and belongings. You make sure guests feel at home, know about their room amenities, and might converse with them casually or offer local tips. Your main duties include helping guests with their cars, both when they arrive and depart, and parking them safely. Good communication with the Front Desk and your team is key.
Maintain warm and hospitable guest relations in all guest contact.
Responsible for responding to individual guest needs as they occur.
Greet guests and issue valet tickets for vehicles while filing and securing valet keys.
Securely park and or retrieve guest vehicles when requested.
Escort incoming/new arrival guests to front desk.
Assist guests with luggage and deliver luggage to guest rooms.
Offer information pertaining to available hotel services, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
Deliver messages, packages/mail, luggage, and run errands as needed.
Properly keep records of calls for service.
Keep the storage room neat and clean.
Polish, clean and maintain equipment and vehicles.
Report all items in need of repair to supervisors/managers and maintain equipment used.
Protect guest safety and well-being; be courteous to all guests and colleagues.
Adjusts to high pressure conditions and is open to change.
Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
Always conducts him/herself (acts and dresses) professionally; sets standards for all.
Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally.

what you will bring

Knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.

Knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
Good mathematical and computer skills.
Ability to actively listen to others.
Ability to lift and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Ability to be a team player.
Ability to tolerate moderate amounts of walking.
Ability to operate automatic and manual vehicles.

great if you have

Bell/Valet Attendant experience preferred.
Driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving abstract for a minimum of three years.
