Essential Job Functions:

  • Promote and maintain efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.

  • Supervise and monitor the total functions of the front end.

  • Supervise and monitor all cashiers, courtesy clerks, fuel, and video associates.

  • Supervise and monitor the computer room operator and coordinate lane pick-ups.

  • Maintain security of safe and change funds.

  • Count safe during scheduled shifts.

  • Know and enforce security policies and procedures for store safes. Keep safes locked at all times.

  • Accountable for security of all safe combinations, keys, and numbers entrusted to you at all times.

  • See that all cash, deposits and pick-ups are properly handled.

  • Cash and approve checks and monitor check cashing and tendering procedure making sure they are correctly followed.

  • Promote use of ValuCard

  • Monitor and enforce coupon handling procedures.

  • Monitor supply usage.

  • Promote and maintain good housekeeping on the front end.

  • Keep adequate number of shopping carts on front end at all times

  • Know and enforce company dress code policies including proper use if names tags.

  • See that all UPS deliveries are logged.

  • Ensure that all funds are maintained and secured.

  • Follow all policies and procedures regarding any and all rental equipment.

  • Know, follow, and enforce all state and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, as well as lottery and lotto tickets where applicable.

  • Know, follow and enforce all federal laws and company procedures regarding handling of WIC checks.

  • Maintain and enforce all policies and procedures for Charge Accounts, Debit/Credit/EFS/EBT/Gift Cards.

  • Assist in maintaining the proper inventory levels of all items for sale in customer service area and candy racks.

  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of computer and check lane recovery offline procedures.

  • Follow and enforce proper procedures for handling two-party checks and authorized payroll check procedures including check fees.

  • Follow and enforce all policies and proper procedures on banking and armored car services.

  • Follow proper procedures for the sale of Money Orders, Postage Stamps, Coinstar, Hunting and Fishing License, Rentals and Promotional Tickets.

  • Ensure that all front end associates take all breaks and lunches as scheduled.

  • Verify all funds received from bank in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Answer and facilitate all incoming phone calls.

  • Follow and enforce all policies regarding tax-exempt orders.

  • Know, follow and enforce all company policies regarding child labor laws.

  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Assist in giving produce tests to authorized cash register operators on a weekly basis.

  • Assist in keeping checkout lines moving as fast as possible.

  • Assist cashiers in unloading the bottom of shopping carts.

Primary Function Acuity International is currently searching for a qualified Business Manager who is interested in working in Guam. The Business Manager will report directly to the Senior Project Manager, with dotted line to the Business Unit Business Director, and will provide overall operational support for existing and future projects. The Business Manager will be responsible for developing and fostering an operational culture that supports the Company mission, vision, and values; developing and implementing strategies and programs providing the resources to successfully deliver Guam based projects on time and within budget. Key Objectives * Standardize administrative and operational activities and procedures to meet local construction and US Dept. of Defense requirements * Manage employee processes from talent acquisition through onboarding into new projects, mobilization and demobilization * Manage implementation of new processes including business alignment, socialization, utilization and monitoring effectiveness across all stakeholders. * Manage local procurement and subcontracting responsibilities. * Work with local offices to ensure policies at corporate level are implemented at local level * Develop and manage subcontracts. * Develop and manage purchase agreements. * Develop and manage lease agreements. Responsibilities * Must have the ability to provide accurate and timely processing of information and communicating across a culturally diverse employee and staff population * Will work with Project Management and other Senior Staff to analyze project budgets and anticipate challenges * Must have the ability to performs accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual business summaries in a variety of forms, written, presentations and verbally * Must have the ability to manage, evaluate and develop professional staff across a number of disciplines in support projects. Provide direct and indirect reports with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities. * Prepare schedules and provide appropriate data to support annual audit as required. * Administer and direct analysis and controls, recommend and/or implement corrective action to bring programs into compliance with corporate requirements. * Administer and direct continuous improvements to current practices/processes. * Must be able to work with local accounting agencies to ensure all corporate and local office taxes have been accounted for on a quarterly, semi-annuals and annual basis. * Will work directly with Acuity HR Department to support and administer policies and procedures. * Will work directly with Acuity Administration Department to support and administer policies and procedures. * Work directly with Acuity Site Teams to process and audit payroll, per diems and expense reports. * Help develop comprehensive employment agreements which protect Acuity as well as the employee. * Actively recruit and develop a database of potential candidates for future projects in Guam. * Work with senior management to develop talent, train, and mentor new and/or current staff. * Develop and/or review subcontracts and purchase requisitions for clarity, compliance, detail, completeness, and obtain additional information considered necessary. * Develop sourcing lists for various commodities to support the development of requests for information (RFI), quotations (RFQs), proposals (RFPs) and invitations to bid and interviews potential suppliers. * Review solicitation responses and perform relevant analyses to include price and cost, ensure conformity to Statement of Work, delivery terms, payment terms, and other terms and conditions of the procurement. * Serve as a business advisor to internal customers, providing alternative solutions to requested items when such solution would provide a benefit to the Company (i.e. enhanced performance, cost savings, or positive schedule impact). * Use Cost Point and other corporate systems to find information the supports developing status reports to senior managers, including the ELT. * Other duties as assigned by management Job Requirements * A BA/BS degree in Engineering, or Accounting, or Finance or Business Administration is a minimum requirement for this position. A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field may be qualifying. * Minimum of 10 years of experience on DoD or DoS construction projects. * The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in DoD, US Embassy or Consulate Compound project development, execution and understand the operational challenges associated with executing a successful project. * The candidate must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in written correspondence with clients, senior management, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and insurance companies. * Must prepare MS Excel Spreadsheets and MS Power Point presentations that effectively communicate status on the projects and issues. * The ability and past experience to write comprehensive contracts/subcontracts serial letters, letters of concern, Cure Notices, and responses to Govt. serial letters. * Experience in preparing and following through on insurance claims and warranty claims. * Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and Cost Point) is required. * Experience with contemporary corporate purchasing systems. * Must be willing to deploy or currently reside in Guam. * Current residency in Guam preferred.
